W manualu jest: "Basically, you don’t need to do anything except to fly at an appropriate altitude in order to actually “see” the target with your radar. Notice that the Sapphire will look for targets flying at your altitude and above, preferring targets above you. Therefore, always fly slightly below the assumed target altitude. If you’re flying close to the ground with the radar on, ground reflections may appear on your radar screen, cluttering the bottom of the screen. If this happens, the best course of action is to increase your flying altitude; however, if you don’t want to fly higher for any reason, you can try to compensate the clutter by turning on the compensation mode using the RV64 switch, set to the middle position, or - if that does not help - in the top position. When in the middle position, the radar will try to erase the lower side-lobes, thus cleaning the image; in the top position it will tilt its antenna upwards by about 1.5o. You can always
fly with the compensation turned on if you wish."
1) Ile to jest ta wlasciwa minimalna wysokosc z Waszego doswiadczenia, aby zlapac locka? Wychodzi mi ze trzeba miec gdzies tak 1500 i nie mniej w locie poziomym, prawda/falsz? - nawet z srodkowym przelacznikiem na samej gorze.
2) Czy zawsze wazna jest wysokosc czy chodzi tylko o kat nachylenia samolotu/radaru? Logika by podpowiadala to drugie, ale wiele razy probowalem podleciec nisko, wrog wysoko (widac go z label on, 10km), lece na dopalaczu 50-60 stopni do "gory" a Saphir... nic.... oczywiscie wrog tuz powyzej celownika,tak aby zmiescic sie w zakresie jego pracy. Udalo sie komus cos takiego? (atak z niskiego pulapu z pomyslnym odpaleniem R3R? obojetnie tyl czy przod?).
